Canada, Vermont, New York, Europe, where are we and how did we get here? CPEC horses and riders had a busy summer competing at some of the best competitions in the country. We are the fortunate ones, riding and competing on trusting animals who ask for little and give so much. So here's a salute to the true givers and their faithful owners and companions.

A hearty congratulations goes to "Sully" and his new owner Elizabeth Kauffman on a fantastic Vermont Summer Circuit. Great placings in a highly competitive children's jumper division show they'll be a strong pair for the future. Combine him with Elizabeth's seasoned companion "Jasper", who proved in Vermont they can win top prizes against the best, and you have a true team with the chemistry for bigger and better things ahead.

Next we salute the hearty gelding "Op Zoom" and his owner Missy Bolin. They came to Vermont to win and did just that, with consistent top three placings through the circuit finishing 4th overall in the Adult Jumper Circuit Awards - Congrats!

CPEC's "Surfer Girl" improved her resume with top three finishes and a reserve championship with Celaine So piloting the catch ride. Not an easy job but they pulled it off in week 5 of the Vermont circuit.

Susan Runco's horse "Principaal" has been a consistent winner since being imported from Holland and this summer was no different, with more blues and top three finishes than we could count. Hats off to Danielle Gehman and her catch riding skills!

Meghan Gleason's #1 mount Corina stepped up to the big leagues this summer by competing in competitive mini Prix's. They've shown they're ready to do their share of winning. Watch for this pair in the future.

Elizabeth Hershberger scored a reserve championship in her first show on the always perfect mount "Shakespeare". "Shakespeare" showed his winning ways at the Quentin Fall show with a new rider Elaina Novatava, pulling anther reserve championship.

CPEC's "Razzle my Taz" showed his winning style with Lexi Mowery aboard taking top honors this summer in the 3' hunter divisions.

CPEC's "Or de vy, Largo and Quiproquo due lodge" are ready for the Kentucky Young Jumper championships following top placings in Canada and Vermont. Watch for these quality young horses at the National Finals in West Palm Beach this December.

CPEC's big jumper "Conterno' stole a major open speed win in New York against tough competition as well as a heartbreaking 2nd place in Vermont with Jimmy Torano just beating Rick McGrath as the final horse in the strong field of veteran riders. Conterno most recently took top honors in the Quentin Fall Mini-Prix having the only double clear round! Watch for Conterno and several other CPEC horses at the indoors this fall.

New Facility Progress

The summer is over, the fall leaves are arriving and the posts will go in the first week of November. Excavators have been preparing the ground, Contractors will be on double shift. CPEC will be under roof soon with our Grand Opening in the Spring of 2008.

You have overwhelmed us with phone calls and e-mails concerning stall availability and costs. Our staff will work diligently in contacting all interested riders and owners wishing to interview for training and stall space with the CPEC team. We also welcome new inquires for lessons and/or training at our new state of the art facility.
